This project followed a user centered design approach towards defining the meaning of a 'Simplicity TV' for families. To understand the role of TV we conducted a diary study and co-design sessions with parents and teens to gather user insights. Following this, we conducted brainstorm sessions with colleagues to translate insights into product ideas and high level product requirements. Finally, we conducted a focus group session to validate main concepts.
I acted as project leader, prepared workshop materials, logistics and facilitated sessions. As part of the setup, I hired a sketch artist to illustrate family's use cases.
Results included an Experience Flow for TV use, an Ideal Product Model for TV, and three Simplicity TV concepts presented on posters and in a booklet.
